A WEB-BASED DECISION SUPPORT SYSTEM FOR SELECTING HIGH-YIELD RICE SEEDLINGS USING THE ANALYTIC HIERARCHY PROCESS (AHP) METHOD

Abstract

Abstract- This study aims to: (1) To design a decision support system for selecting superior rice seeds using the web-based Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method. (2) To find out the implementation of selecting superior rice seeds using the web-based Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method. This research uses the waterfall method which is a software research method with a linear sequential model, starting from system requirements analysis, design, coding to the testing stage. This method has stages, namely: (1) Needs Analysis, (2) System design, (3) Implementation, (4) Testing, (5) Maintenance. The results of the study concluded that (1) the decision support system was designed by conducting interviews with farmers then the system was designed using UML consisting of use cases, activity diagrams, sequence diagrams, class diagrams. The programming language used is PHP. (2) The application of this decision support system is implemented with a login menu design, IR menu, criteria comparison menu, alternative comparison menu, results menu and report print menu to help wholesale farmer groups rappoa in a more accurate decision-making process in accordance with predetermined criteria. determined through calculations in accordance with the Analytical Hierachy Processes (AHP) method.
